How did VIP Concierge Psychology come to be?

Dr. Raeburn has worked in a wide range of therapy settings with individuals from all walks of life. Her experience in the mental health field helped her see a real need to provide psychology services to those whose lifestyle does not allow them to seek out such services. These individuals include celebrities, pro athletes, politicians, elite members of society, successful entrepreneurs, business owners, and high-level corporate executives. She noticed how the negative perception people have about mental health can negatively affect a high-powered individual if they’re seen walking into a therapist’s office. For example, a CEO’s position may be challenged, or others may begin to second-guess his efficiency. Or a public figure, whose every move is scrutinized, could end up in the press or tabloids. The truth is that seeking assistance when you need it, signifies strength but finding it may be difficult. If this sounds like you, then VIP Concierge Psychology is the best option for you – an option that’s discreet, confidential, and in a setting that best meets your needs. VIP Concierge Psychology offers flexible times, locations, and bespoke treatment.

Moreover, I provide therapy via secure video chat to clients across all of Florida, known as teletherapy. Studies have shown that teletherapy is as effective as in-person therapy when using more direct modalities.

I’m not located in those neighborhoods. Am I still eligible for your VIP Concierge Psychology Services?

Yes, if you live in Bal Harbour, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, or other areas not on the list, you could still benefit from VIP Concierge Services for an additional travel fee and/or opt for VIP Concierge Services via teletherapy (HIPPA-compliant video sessions).

Telehealth is available to all Florida residents.

Why do you limit your number of VIP Concierge Psychology and Consultation clients?

I limit the number of VIP Concierge Psychology clients to focus on quality over quantity. Having a limited amount of VIP clients allows me to delve deeply and focus intently on my work with them.

What is the difference between a Consultation and Therapy?

  • It is similar to life coaching as it focuses more on problem-solving and action steps.
  • Does not address underlying psychological problems that may be contributing to ongoing struggles.
  • More financially accessible due to its short-term, time-bound nature.
  • Sessions address issues within one long, intensive session or throughout many 1-hour session.
  • A combination of reflection, exploration, problem-solving, insight, awareness, and action.
  • Geared towards complex issues that may touch upon many topics.
  • Addresses deep, complex, underlying themes to assist with long-lasting change
  • It is a process that focuses on growth, insight, and improving your quality of life.

Does VIP Concierge Psychology Take insurance?

As a self-pay practice, we do not accept insurance. I am not an in-network provider with any insurance, nor do I work directly with insurance companies. If you are an individual with a PPO plan, I can provide you (the client) with a superbill upon request. The client can use the superbill to apply for reimbursement from the insurance company. However, there is no guarantee that your insurance will reimburse you for your treatment. Full disclosure – I find it essential to let you know that Insurance companies require a formal diagnosis to apply for reimbursement. Moreover, your insurance company may ask for your therapy records. Since the majority of my clients desire the highest level of privacy, this is usually undesirable.

Why don’t you accept insurance?

I find that sometimes people go through arduous periods in their life and seek support but don’t meet the criteria for a formal diagnosis. Furthermore, there may have been a time where an individual briefly met criteria for a mental disorder, but generally does not. However, to be able to use your insurance, your therapist has to provide a diagnosis. Moreover, they may request therapy records. The diagnosis would stay in your insurance records your entire life without the possibility to amend or change it, even after the circumstances in your life have improved. Self-pay provides and allows the provision of services without the restrictions of insurance regulations, insurance adjusters, or their third-party adjusting agencies. Client confidentiality and discretion are of the utmost importance to me.

What about taking Insurance for neuropsychology evaluations?

As a self-pay private practice, we do not accept insurance. However, if your insurance accepts out-of-network providers, you may receive a substantial reimbursement from your insurance company if you have met your out-of-network deductible. We’ll be glad to supply you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance to apply for reimbursements. Please refer to the fees and rates page for sample questions you can ask your insurance provider.

Do you offer a sliding scale for your VIP concierge psychology program?

Since VIP Concierge Psychology is an exclusive service that is only offered to a limited number of individuals and includes multiple perks, I do not offer a sliding scale.

I am interested in a short-term consultation. How does that work?

If you’re interested in working with me but cannot attain the VIP Concierge Psychology program or VIP Concierge Consultation at this time, due to financial reasons or otherwise, Short-term consultation may be for you. These are in-office or telehealth sessions that last 50 minutes, where the focus is on you.

Short-term consultations are beneficial for those with time-bound, less complicated concerns that do not address deep psychological issues. The client and therapist determine the frequency of sessions. Of note, this option does not include the added perks and benefits of the VIP Concierge Psychology or VIP Consultation program.

I’m very interested but live outside of Florida (or Outside of the US). Can I still consult with you?

Yes, we do consultations for those living outside of Florida and internationally. Consultations fit individuals who have direct and focused concerns that do not require deep dives into issues, psychological treatment, or maladaptive behavior change. Consultation is more geared towards problem-solving- similar to coaching.

However, if you require psychological treatment, we do not offer psychological services outside the state of Florida.
